Patty Allen joined the Karla Havemeier, Ltd. firm in July 2015 and is currently a Senior Accountant. She brings several years of accounting experience to the firm. Patty’s current workload includes overseeing the firms payroll sector, monthly and quarterly bookkeeping, sales/use tax return preparation, personal and business tax preparation, and fire relief association audits and agreed upon procedures. She is also responsible for the firm’s accounts receivable functions. She looks forward to expanding her knowledge in income tax preparation and auditing while working at the firm.
Patty graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University in May 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and St Mary's University of Minnesota in January 2021 with a Masters of Science in Accounting. Recently, she was successful in obtaining her Certified Public Accountant certification.
Patty and her husband, Carl, relocated to New Ulm over 21 years ago from Marshall, MN when Carl accepted a position with the Minnesota Army National Guard. Currently, Carl is a Safety Specialist with Minnesota Telecom Alliance as he recently retired as a Sergeant First Class (SFC) with the Minnesota Army National Guard. Patty served as the leader of the Family Readiness Group for the local Army National Guard unit for many years up until her husband retired. Patty grew up in a small town in southwest Minnesota before going to college in Marshall. She enjoys visiting their daughter in Winona, MN and son in Bemidji, MN. In her down time, she loves spending time with her family and friends, playing piano, singing, camping, working with flowers, growing a garden, and learning crochet.
