Patty Allen joined the Karla Havemeier, Ltd. firm in July 2015 and is currently a Senior Accountant. She brings several years of accounting experience to the firm. Patty’s current workload includes overseeing the firms payroll sector, monthly and quarterly bookkeeping, sales/use tax return preparation, personal and business tax preparation, and fire relief association audits and agreed upon procedures. She is also responsible for the firm’s accounts receivable and payable functions. She looks forward to expanding her knowledge in income tax preparation and auditing while working at the firm.
Patty graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University in May 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and St Mary's University of Minnesota in January 2021 with a Masters of Science in Accounting.
Patty and her husband, Carl, relocated to New Ulm over 17 years ago from Marshall, MN when Carl accepted a position with the Minnesota Army National Guard. Currently, Carl is a Sergeant First Class (SFC) and serves as the Retention NCO with the National Guard unit in New Ulm. Patty grew up in a small town in southwest Minnesota before going to college in Marshall. Their household also includes 2 children, Abigail and Nathan, who are very active in school and activities outside of school. Patty is active as the leader of the Family Readiness Group for the local Army National Guard unit and leader of the Family Readiness Group that serves the local Guard unit families. In her down time, she loves spending time with her family and friends, playing piano, singing, camping, working with flowers, and playing with her dog.
