Karla Havemeier, CPA is an owner of Karla Havemeier, Ltd. She specializes in tax planning and preparation for individuals, farmers, and businesses. Her favorite part of tax season is visiting with all her clients! Other areas of expertise include lawful gambling services including audits, fire relief compliance work, reviews and compilations, advisory services, new business consultations, and QuickBooks services.
Karla grew up on a dairy farm in northwest Minnesota. She received a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of North Dakota where she graduated with a 4.0.
Her twenty five years of experience in the accounting industry started for a firm in Thief
River Falls where she met Jack. The couple moved to New Ulm in 1996 and were later married in 1998. Karla worked for local firms in New Ulm prior to the inception of Karla Havemeier, Ltd in 2006. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Minnesota Society of CPAs, the Minnesota Association of Public Accountants, and Allied Charities of Minnesota.
Karla lives in rural New Ulm with her husband and business partner, Jack. They have four children: Rebecca, Michelle, Hank, and Yvonne. Karla enjoys spending time relaxing at their lake home, taking long walks, and time with the family. Karla is charter and current member of the New Ulm Optimist Club. She is also a member of the Wanda Gag House Association.
