There have been several changes in filing due dates. Below are the ones to note:
- Form 1099-Misc, with nonemployee compensation in box 7, and W2s need to be filed with the government by January 31. Previously they had to be sent to employees and payees by January 31 and filed with the government by March 31. THEREFORE, OUR OFFICE WILL BE FILING ALL 1099S WITH THE GOVERNMENT BY JANUARY 31ST! It will be imperative that we get your information sooner than ever.
- Partnership returns, Form 1065, are due March 15. The due date used to be April 15.
- C corporation returns, Form 1120, are due April 15. They previously were due March 15.
